Living In The City Of Burlington

Get To Know My Burlington Neighbourhoods

On the shore of Lake Ontario sits Burlington, a city that’s frequently ranked as one of the best places to live in Canada. There’s no shortage of eateries, shops, museums, gardens, and parks for residents to enjoy.

When it comes to the great outdoors, local favourites include Spencer Smith Park (which is right downtown) and the Royal Botanical Gardens (a national treasure). GO Transit and easy highway access make getting to these attractions—and anywhere you want to go in Burlington, the GTA, or the Hamilton area—simple.

If you’re in the market, the city offers a wide variety of single-family homes, townhouses. and condos. Learn more about some of my favourite Burlington neighbourhoods below.

Brant Hills

If you’re looking for the ideal family-friendly neighbourhood, look no further than Brant Hills. Here you’ll find homes in a range of styles, at a variety of price points. Access to Highway 407 is a major benefit, as is the nearby Niagara Escarpment (think spectacular views) and local parks and playgrounds.

Palmer

Are you searching for a single-family home on a spacious lot? Do you want to be fairly central—and close to great schools? This may sound too good to be true, but it’s not. You’ll find great value in Palmer, including spacious homes and more modest bungalows and townhouses.

The Orchard

Family-friendly neighbourhoods abound in Burlington, and The Orchard is one of the best. From its selection of newer homes to its five schools to its proximity to Bronte Creek Provincial Park (a fantastic destination for camping, hiking, swimming, and more), this is an incredible place to live.

Appleby

In Southeast Burlington, on the border of Oakville, is Appleby. This attractive neighbourhood is known for its stunning homes along Lakeshore Road.

Burloak Waterfront Park makes for a peaceful retreat within the community, while the Appleby GO Station makes it easy to travel practically anywhere.

Alton Village

Young families love Alton Village for its abundance of brand new homes and kid-friendly amenities. Norton Community Park is the site of a skate park, playground, and leash-free dog area. There’s also a top-notch library for the bookworm in your family.
